Pear prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Pear in San José: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Pear prefilled pod here
Pear prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: pear in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear prefilled pod really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested pear in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.74 per 10 ml.
