Iced 100 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Iced in San José: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What iced costs in San José
Iced in San José reaches the shelf in 100 ml bottle formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.26 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the 100 ml bottle you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced 100 ml bottle really costs in San José
We run iced the same way in San José: same 100 ml bottle, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested iced in a 100 ml bottle
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest 100 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
