Sweet refill pack IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Sweet in San José: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with sweet in Costa Rica
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.44 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at sweet in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet refill pack really costs in San José
Sweet in San José reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested sweet in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.44 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
