Spiced pod kit IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Spiced in San José: 18 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Spiced in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Spiced pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a spiced pod kit really costs in San José
A spiced pod kit from the value options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.14 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested spiced in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.14 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡62 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On spiced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.14 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
