Plain prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Plain in San José: 20 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a prefilled pod for plain
We run plain the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Plain prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: plain in San José works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain prefilled pod really costs in San José
Plain prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plain in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.34 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here

Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Entry kit | ₡64 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡3.34 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

How long does plain in a prefilled pod last?
In San José we measured 3 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
