Citrus refill pack IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Citrus in San José: 19 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What citrus costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.53 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus refill pack really costs in San José
Citrus refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested citrus in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for citrus in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is citrus legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
