Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version

Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.

The honest read on pear: 12 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.

The short version: pear in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a pear 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José

Pear 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.

How we tested pear in a 30 ml shortfill

1. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
2. Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
3. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.

• Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
• Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
• Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
• Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.

Where pear goes wrong

• Treating the advertised ₡65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.06 per 10 ml.
• Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
• Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

The rules that apply here

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
