Melon squonk mod IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Melon in San José: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
The honest read on melon: 15 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon squonk mod really costs in San José
A melon squonk mod from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.39 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
