The short version: mintice in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
Mintice in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mintice in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mintice bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.02 per 10 ml.
