Graphite box mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Graphite in San José: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Graphite box mod here
Graphite sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
A graphite box mod from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.06 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: graphite in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a graphite box mod really costs in San José
We run graphite the same way in San José: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested graphite in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every graphite bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.06 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
