Salted prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Salted in San José: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
We run salted the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.14 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in San José
Salted in San José reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
