Dessert refill pack IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Dessert in San José: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
A dessert refill pack from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.15 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Dessert in San José reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a dessert refill pack really costs in San José
We run dessert the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested dessert in a refill pack
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why dessert tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.15 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
