How to tell a good 30 ml shortfill from a repack
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

The short version: dessert in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
A dessert 30 ml shortfill from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.65 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested dessert in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Mixing dessert with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for dessert in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does dessert in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 6 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
