Cream refill pack IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Cream in San José: 11 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good refill pack from a repack
Cream refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Cream in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: cream in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cream refill pack really costs in San José
Cream prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.36 per 10 ml.
How we tested cream in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cream goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.36 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
