Cherry squonk mod IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Cherry in San José: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What cherry costs in San José
If you are looking at cherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Cherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.99 per 10 ml.
The short version: cherry in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cherry squonk mod really costs in San José
Cherry in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested cherry in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.99 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why cherry tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
