Mint mesh tank IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Mint in San José: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Mint mesh tank here
The honest read on mint: 8 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Mint sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint mesh tank really costs in San José
A mint mesh tank from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.95 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
