Mango sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Mango in San José: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Mango sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Mango in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: mango in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mango sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
The honest read on mango: 8 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested mango in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mango bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mango goes wrong
- Mixing mango with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.21 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does mango taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mango blend itself harsh.
How long does mango in a sub-ohm kit last?
In San José we measured 5 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mango the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.21 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
