Candy mesh tank IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Candy in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
A candy mesh tank from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy mesh tank really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested candy in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where candy goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.84 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for candy in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.84 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does candy in a mesh tank last?
In San José we measured 9 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
