Vanilla nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Vanilla in San José: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with vanilla in Costa Rica
A vanilla nicotine salt bottle from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.77 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.77 per 10 ml.
The short version: vanilla in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested vanilla in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
