Apple nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Apple in San José: 16 units tested over 3 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with apple in Costa Rica
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run apple the same way in San José: same nicotine salt bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long apple tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a apple nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.97 per 10 ml.
How we tested apple in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where apple goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long apple in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.97 per 10 ml.

Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On apple the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.97 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does apple in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In San José we measured 3 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
