Vanilla starter kit IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What vanilla costs in San José
The honest read on vanilla: 24 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Vanilla starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
