Mintice refill pack IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Mintice in San José: 20 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a refill pack for mintice
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mintice refill pack really costs in San José
We run mintice the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mintice in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Mixing mintice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.06 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mintice the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.06 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
