Tropical 10 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Tropical in San José: 11 units tested over 8 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good 10 ml bottle from a repack
Tropical 10 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 10 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the 10 ml bottle you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested tropical in a 10 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.93 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for tropical in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Costa Rica |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Costa Rica | 4–9 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | ₡33 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡1.93 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a 10 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.93 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡33 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
