Tobacco refill pack IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 17 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tobacco in San José reaches the shelf in refill pack formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco refill pack really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested tobacco in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.71 per 10 ml.
