Tobacco cartomizer IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 17 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
A tobacco cartomizer from the value options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.08 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested tobacco in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
