Tobacco 60 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Tobacco 60 ml bottle here
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.13 per 10 ml.
Tobacco in a 60 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco 60 ml bottle really costs in San José
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a 60 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tobacco in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.13 per 10 ml.
