Spiced RDA IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Spiced in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a RDA for spiced
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long spiced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a spiced RDA really costs in San José
Spiced RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested spiced in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.42 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
