Tobacco 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
If you are looking at tobacco in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 30 ml shortfill you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run tobacco the same way in San José: same 30 ml shortfill, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
How we tested tobacco in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.94 per 10 ml.

Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.94 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
