Iced vape pen IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Iced in San José: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Iced is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Iced vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: iced in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced vape pen really costs in San José
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested iced in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | ₡39 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡1.77 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does iced in a vape pen last?
In San José we measured 8 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
