Spiced squonk mod IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Spiced in San José: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a squonk mod for spiced
Spiced in San José reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
A spiced squonk mod from the compared options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.92 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a spiced squonk mod really costs in San José
Spiced sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested spiced in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is spiced legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
What nicotine strength should spiced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
