Spiced RDA IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Spiced in San José: 16 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.42 per 10 ml.
The short version: spiced in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced RDA really costs in San José
If you are looking at spiced in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested spiced in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.42 per 10 ml.
