Spiced nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Spiced in San José: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good nicotine salt bottle from a repack
Spiced in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: spiced in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.25 per 10 ml.
How we tested spiced in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.25 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for spiced in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
