Spiced mesh tank IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Spiced in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with spiced in Costa Rica
Spiced in San José reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a spiced mesh tank really costs in San José
A spiced mesh tank from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.08 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested spiced in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On spiced the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.08 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should spiced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
