Spiced in San José: 15 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
The honest read on spiced: 15 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run spiced the same way in San José: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long spiced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a spiced box mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested spiced in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.23 per 10 ml.
