Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
The honest read on sourcherry: 6 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A sourcherry sub-ohm kit from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.72 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: sourcherry in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
If you are looking at sourcherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the sub-ohm kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a sub-ohm kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sourcherry in San José survives.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sourcherry the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.72 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Is sourcherry legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
