Sourcherry nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Sourcherry in San José: 21 units tested over 5 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
A sourcherry nicotine salt bottle from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.47 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.47 per 10 ml.
The short version: sourcherry in San José works if the nicotine salt bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Sourcherry sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested sourcherry in a nicotine salt bottle
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sourcherry the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.47 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
