Sour squonk mod IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Sour in San José: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
We run sour the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: sour in San José works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour squonk mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested sour in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
