Sour RDA IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Sour in San José: 10 units tested over 4 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What sour costs in San José
A sour RDA from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.42 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run sour the same way in San José: same RDA, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour RDA really costs in San José
Sour RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
