Sour e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Sour in San José: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run sour the same way in San José: same e-liquid bundle, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sour in San José works if the e-liquid bundle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
A sour e-liquid bundle from the value options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.65 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a e-liquid bundle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the e-liquid bundle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for e-liquid bundle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a e-liquid bundle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Buying the cheapest e-liquid bundle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
