Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a 10 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
A sour 10 ml bottle from the compared options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.62 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 10 ml bottle you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested sour in a 10 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 10 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 10 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 10 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in San José survives.

Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.62 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does sour in a 10 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 3 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
