Graphite starter kit IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Graphite in San José: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Graphite in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
A graphite starter kit from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.76 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: graphite in San José works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a graphite starter kit really costs in San José
Graphite prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.76 per 10 ml.
How we tested graphite in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Treating the advertised ₡62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.76 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
