Salted in San José: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.11 per 10 ml.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted vape pen really costs in San José
Salted vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested salted in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.11 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
