Salted mesh tank IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Salted in San José: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the salted habit
If you are looking at salted in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted mesh tank really costs in San José
Salted in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested salted in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.68 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in San José survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
