Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Salted mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Salted in San José reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: salted in San José works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted mesh tank really costs in San José
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested salted in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Treating the advertised ₡57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.08 per 10 ml.
