Plum pod kit IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Plum in San José: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
The honest read on plum: 22 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Plum in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: plum in San José works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum pod kit really costs in San José
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.95 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
