Peach prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Peach in San José: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the peach habit
Peach in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run peach the same way in San José: same prefilled pod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long peach tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a peach prefilled pod really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested peach in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where peach goes wrong
- Mixing peach with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On peach the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.68 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should peach start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does peach in a prefilled pod last?
In San José we measured 3 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
