Nutty RDA IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Nutty in San José: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on nutty: 23 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.35 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long nutty tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a nutty RDA really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested nutty in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every nutty bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing nutty with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.35 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for nutty in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
