Sourcherry sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Sourcherry in San José: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
Sourcherry sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.83 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested sourcherry in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.83 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
