Mintice box mod IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Mintice in San José: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Mintice is allowed to say
The honest read on mintice: 10 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Mintice sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested mintice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.64 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mintice the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.64 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
