Berry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.51 per 10 ml.
The short version: berry in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a berry box mod really costs in San José
Berry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.51 per 10 ml.
How we tested berry in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a berry bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where berry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
